This is a feature-rich, extra sturdy black aluminum easel that will hold a canvas as tall as 40", as short as 19" and as thick as 1-1/4". It's a real workhorse but it weighs less than 3-1/2 lbs and sets up in seconds so you can easily move it from field to studio and back. The easel folds down as easily as it sets up and comes with a zippered nylon carrying case that has a convenient carrying handle. The folded length is only 26" which makes it easy to move around and store. Both the upper and lower canvas supports are adjustable for height. The lower support is 20" long and the upper support is 8-1/2" long. The mast pivots to allow a comfortable working angle and the legs extend to 49" and lock in position with heavy-duty clips. Included on the lower canvas support is a swing-out brush holder. The legs can be adjusted to accommodate narrow locations or give a wider stance for extra stability. Each leg has a rubber tip. If you need an easel that can accomodate large canvases, will stand up to wear and tear, that looks good in the studio but can be your companion in the field, then this is the easel you need.
